Georgian Armenians support Serzh Sargsyan

Unity of Georgian Armenians NGO will support the incumbent President, presidential candidate Serzh Sargsyan in the upcoming election, the NGO chairman, a deputy of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) faction Tachat Vardapetian stated at the meeting with reporters today.

“I am making this statement on behalf of many thousands of Georgian Armenians. The sentiments among the population of Javakhk also reflect my opinion,” Vardapetian said.

In response to the remark that during the parliamentary elections Javakhk refrained from supporting any party, being displeased with the ruling party’s implementation of its pre-election programs related to Javakhk, Vardapetian did not share that opinion, saying: “Our organization said during the parliamentary elections that it backed HHK. Javakhk did not refrain from supporting that party, which is also evident from Javakheti deputies’s inclusion in HHK faction”.
