Aram Harutyunian to withdraw his candidacy on February 8
The Chairman of National Accord Party, presidential candidate Aram Harutyunian is going to withdraw his candidacy on February 8, at 5 pm. Harutyunian made that announcement at a press conference today.
He said that he will withdraw his candidacy at 5 pm on February 8, while at 5 pm on February 7 he will go on a hunger strike outside the Central Election Commission.
“I will demand that all the other candidates also withdraw their candidacies and that Serzh Sargsyan be left alone,” Aram Harutyunian declared.
In his words, those who continue to run in the election are legitimizing it.
