Undisciplined employees of zoo file disciplined applications

We have a budget of 200 million AMD, 101 employees, and 1,400 animals of 207 species, Director of Yerevan zoo Ruben Khachatrian told reporters today.

He was appointed director of the zoo on 15 April 2011. Since then several employees of the zoo have been dismissed because of their age, disciplinary infractions, and 31 employees have filed applications for “voluntary termination of the contract”. These employees, according to the director, often broke discipline, did not come to work on time and left their workplace early. Those 31 employees filed their applications “in a disciplined manner” and were dismissed. By the way, it was mentioned that there were cafes on the grounds of the zoo, with food and drinks available.

The cafes, food and drinks are currently also available there, but the revenues are allocated for the “zoo budget”, the trade is now organized by the zoo.

Some 275,000 people visited the zoo last year.
