Free Democrats Party not to back any presidential candidate

Free Democrats Party will not support any of the candidates running in the presidential election, is said in a statement released by the party.

The statement reads: 

“Being committed to the Party Board’s statement of 29 December 2012 and having discussed the programs, approaches, and goals of the candidates nominated to run in the February 18 presidential election in Armenia, the Board of Free Democrats Party states that none of them sufficiently expresses and is in line with the approaches and principles of the Free Democrats Party.

Taking the abovementioned fact into account, the Board of Free Democrats Party states that it will not support any of the nominated candidates.

At the same time, being opposed to the approach of boycotting political processes, we call upon the members and supporters of our party to take an active part in the February 18 election and vote for opposition candidates”.
