NKR airport main subject of foreign ministers’ upcoming meeting

“The opening of Nagorno Karabakh’s airport will be the main subject of the meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers in Paris next week,” U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar said, according to APA news agency, Azerbaijan.

In all likelihood, the issue of the airport will be discussed at the meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to be held next week in Paris.

We called upon to the sides to refrain from steps that could increase tension in the region and hinder the negotiating process.

Such steps cannot be useful. I hope that the opening of the airport in Nagorno Karabakh will be discussed in Paris and a diplomatic solution will be found, the ambassador said.
