Armenian president visits Yerablur

A few minutes ago Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, accompanied by President of NKR Bako Sahakian, Armenian Catholicos Garegin II, Defense Minister of Armenia Sayran Ohanian, and Defense Minister of NKR Movses Hakobian, visited Yerablur Military Patheon on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces.

Serzh Sargsyan and state and military officials accompanying him paid a tribute of respect to the graves of Vazgen Sargsyan and Commander Andranik.
Numerous freedom fighters, members of Yerkarapah Union of Volunteers, and representatives of the Armed Forces of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh were present in Yerablur.

During a talk with reporters, Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanian said that Armenian Army Day is a national holiday. The minister congratulated those present on the occasion of the holiday, saying that having proceeded along a 21-year path, the army has always served as a guarantee of the security of the Armenian people.
The minister wished peace to the people, stressing that the Armenian army is ready to respond to all provocations.
