“TThere is no harm in wishing”: Sargsyan speaks about candidate’s program
“Lies are usually told more frequently in a pre-election period,” the presidential candidate Serzh Sargsyan said during his campaign meeting with voters in Spitak, when responding to a local resident’s remark that one of the presidential candidates promises in his election program to increase the state budget by 300 billion AMD.
“The Russians says: “There is no harm in wishing”. I can’t see any harm in what he says. But I don’t know if he is powerful enough to do it. I don’t even know who that candidate is, but during approval of the 2102 budget when a proposal was made to collect additional 100 billion AMD, this kind of people were saying from morning till night that we would fail to do it and this purpose will have an impact on pensions and wages… As you can see, no one has suffered,” Serzh Sargsyan said.
In his words, it is quite easy to count other people’s money, see others’ faults and give advice to others.
“We all want our country to develop rapidly. Yet naïve persons’ times are over. No matter what they say, people understand whether their promises are possible to keep or not”.
