Deadline for candidacy withdrawal passes

The issue of withdrawal applications was an item on the agenda of the special sitting of the Central Election Commission held today.

CEC Secretary Armen Smbatian said that only one presidential candidate, Aram Harutyunian, had submitted an application for withdrawal of his candidacy until the deadline.

The application was certified by a notary so A. Harutyunian was not required to attend the CEC sitting.

At the sitting, the presidential candidate Aram Harutyunian’s registration was declared null and void.
