SDHP not to join new party of Ter-Petrosian

The Social Democrat Hunchakian Party will not join the new party being formed on the basis of Armenian National Congress (HAK), the party member Gurgen Yeghiazarian told reporters today.

The HAK leader Levon Ter-Petrosian earlier supported the idea of transforming HAK into a single party.

In Yeghiazarian’s words, it will be difficult without Ter-Petrosian because “in the past five years HAK has survived only thanks to Ter-Petrosian’s charisma”.
