Parliament speaker: Raffi Hovannisian should come back to earth

“I want Raffi Hovannisian to be sensible and stop all these intrigues,” National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamian said, when discussing the post-election developments.

In his words, there is no reason to believe that Raffi Hovannisian is President elect, even though the Heritage leader claims that he has been elected. “I am of the opinion that 539 thousand votes given to Hovannisian came as a surprise to them,” Abrahamian noted, adding that R. Hovannisian received the votes of the whole opposition.

According to H. Abrahamian, such a format has formed that R. Hovannisian has become the single candidate of the opposition. “I urge him to use those votes correctly – for the benefit of our country and statehood, leading our country forward,” the National Assembly speaker stated.

He advised Raffi Hovannisian to come back to earth. “He should congratulate Serzh Sargsyan,” Hovik Abrahamian said.
