HAK considers participation in mayoral elections senseless

Armenian National Congress (HAK) Party is not going to run in the elections of Yerevan Mayor, the deputy of HAK parliamentary faction Ms. Lyudmila Sargsyan told the correspondent of Aysor.am.

She said HAK has not discussed the issue, but, in her opinion, there is no real electoral process in Armenia.

“It is only a series of events held mandatorily every 4-5 years. We consider formal participation in such events senseless,” she noted.

“It is necessary to do everything in order to change the current regime. At the moment it is no use running in elections for appearances’ sake,” L. Sargsyan said.
