Selim mountain pass closed to traffic

The Ministry of Transport and Communication reported that as of 6:00 pm today it was snowing in some regions of Armenia, including Kapan and Meghri. Roads are covered with ice.

The Selim mountain pass and a section of Berd-Chambarak Highway in Tavush province are closed because of a blizzard and low visibility. The other interstate motorways and passes are mostly open.

Road cleaning work is underway.
