President receives defense minister of Georgia

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received today Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasania who is on an official visit to Armenia.

Welcoming the guest, S. Sargsyan said Armenia is interested in developing its relationship with Georgia, to which mutual visits at various levels contribute, the presidential press service reported.

Alasania informed Serzh Sargsyan about the results of the meeting with his Armenian counterpart Seyran Ohanian, noting that issues related to deepening cooperation of the two countries in the military sphere were discussed at the meeting.

Pointing out the approaches and policy of the Georgian government led by Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Georgian defense minister stated that the development of strategic relations with brotherly Armenia is among Georgia’s priorities.
