Raffi Hovannisian refuses to meet president

The leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian who took second place in the February 18 presidential election has refused to meet the incumbent President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

‘’The Chief of the Presidential Staff yesterday called Raffi Hovannisian to inform him about the official invitation to a meeting. Unfortunately, Raffi Hovannisian refused to meet and have a detailed and comprehensive discussion of all issues,” Panorama.am was informed by Armen Arzumanian, the spokesman for the Armenian President.

“It only remains to hope that Mr. Hovannisian has assessed the situation correctly and he soberly realizes the danger of the de facto rejection of dialog,” A. Arzumanian said.
