“Hovannisian is trying to influence Constitutional Court’s decision”

By his hunger strike, Raffi Hovannisian is trying to influence the decision of the RA Constitutional Court, HHK parliamentary faction’s deputy Sukias Avetisian said at a meeting with journalists today.

“A hunger strike is an extreme measure, but it is desirable to try to solve problems through negotiations, rather than rallies and hunger strikes,” he noted.

For her part, the member of Heritage Party Ms. Anahit Bakhshian said that in the past 20 years the Constitutional Court has never made a ruling based on state interests.

“The Constitutional Court has defended the interests of the incumbent authorities and not of the state,” A. Bakhshian said.
