Arshak Sadoyan proposes implementing constitutional reforms

Chairman of National Democrats’ Alliance Party Arshak Sadoyan has his proposal for Serzh Sargsyan and Raffi Hovannisian: he proposes implementing constitutional reforms as a way out of the current situation. Sadoyan made this statement at a meeting with reporters today.

“I propose that the National Assembly of Armenia should become a bicameral parliament, with one chamber composed of deputies elected under the proportional system and the second chamber – of deputies elected from provinces under the majoritarian system and representatives of the Diaspora,” Sadoyan said.

He expressed an opinion the Constitutional Court will not adopt some other decision in case of few complaints so constitutional amendments are the only way to deal with the problem. He added that the probability of his proposal’s adoption is 50/50.
