R. Hakobian: It is not ruled out Heritage and ARFD will run separately

“I believe that something will change by April 9,” the head of Heritage parliamentary faction Ruben Hakobian declared during a press conference in Liberty Square today.

In his words, they intend to defend the votes of people. Yet he declined to elaborate on their tactical measures.

As regards the upcoming elections to Yerevan Council of Elders, R. Hakobian said the best opinion is the opposition’s unification, even though it was already announced that Prosperous Armenia Party will run in the elections separately, with its own list of candidates.

“Discussions are underway between ARF-Dashnaktsutyun and Heritage Parties, but it is not ruled out that they will run separately, although it is desirable to run as a single list,” Ruben Hakobian said, adding that members of civil society, political figures, etc. should be included in the list.
