NA has 20 millionaire MPs: BHK richest faction

20 deputies of Armenia’s National Assembly are millionaires, according to their income declarations. Four members of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) faction are among the top five: Gagik Tsarukian, Vahan Karapetian, Gurgen Arsenian, Grigory Margarian, and deputy of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) faction Samvel Alexanian who is the second richest MP after Gagik Tsarukian. The mentioned deputies declared together an income of over $1 million.

The statistical data was released by Mandate information NGO under the NA Legislative Activity Monitoring Project on parliamentmonitoring.am.

Thus the richest faction is BHK, whose 36 deputies declared a total income of $98.1 million. HHK is in second place: the total amount of its members’ incomes is half as much as those of BHK.

Heritage faction’s five deputies are at the bottom of the list: the monetary resources of all the five MPs total $118 thousand.
