E. Nalbandian’s visit to Germany starts
The visit of Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian to Berlin started with his meeting with MPs of various parties represented in the Bundestag, the press service of Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
E. Nalbandian expressed satisfaction with the high-level political dialog between Armenia and Germany, attaching special importance to close cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries such as mutual visits of the heads of the legislative bodies, and activities of the inter-parliamentary friendship groups.
The sides exchanged views on regional problems and their solutions. E. Nalbandian spoke about the efforts of Armenia and the international community aimed at the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
Then Edward Nalbandian met German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s foreign policy and security advisor Christof Heusgen. The interlocutors discussed a wide range of international and regional problems and the ways of strengthening Armenian-German friendly ties.
In the evening E. Nalbandian went to the German Council on Foreign Relations where he delivered an extensive speech on Armenia’s foreign policy and then answered numerous questions of high-ranking officials, diplomats, political scientists and reporters.
