Hakobian: Tent will be set up after Raffi Hovannisian’s press conference

Members of Heritage Party will set up a tent in Liberty Square after Raffi Hovannisian’s press conference scheduled for 5 pm today, the head of Heritage parliamentary faction Ruben Hakobian told reporters today, following the negotiations with policemen.

Earlier Aysor.am was informed that Heritage members tried to set up a tent for the hunger-striking party leader Raffi Hovannisian in Liberty Square, but the police prevented them from doing it. The Yerevan municipality representatives said later that the municipality allows setting up an awning, not a tent.

“Prior to the, we are going to apply to the competent bodies – the city municipality and the Ministry of Culture to clarify some formalities,” R. Hakobian said, adding that they are right from a legal point of view and they may set up a tent, but they do not want to clash with the police.
