R. Hovannisian: Constitutional Court failed its examination

“The Constitutional Court of Armenia has failed its examination, proving that it is an appendage of executive power,” Heritage Party leader Raffi Hovannisian said, when commenting on the ruling of the Constitutional Court which has dismissed his lawsuit to declare the presidential election null and void.

“I think the composition of the Constitutional Court should be changed,” he noted.

As regards the statement of President of the European People’s Party Wilfried Martens, Raffi Hovannisian said the opinions of W. Martens are based on false information.

“If this is Europe, Armenia should not deal with such structures,” R. Hovannisian said. He promised to answer all questions at today’s rally.
