R. Hovannisian: Each party has its interests, no single list compiled
“Everyone is free to take their approach. I will attend all sittings of the open council and listen to all the proposals. Following the first ten sittings, I will sum up the results and adopt a complex approach,” Raffi Hovannisian said at the press conference in Liberty Square, when discussing the HAK faction deputy Nikol Pashinian’s proposal regarding the formation of a shadow government and its composition.
In Raffi Hovannisian’s words, it is not a shadow government, but a bright one.
As regards the participation of Heritage Party led by R. Hovannisian and other opposition forces as a single list in the upcoming elections to Yerevan Council of Elders, Raffi Hovannisian said they had tried to establish an alliance, but failed to do it for a number of reasons. He announced that Heritage will present its list on Friday.
“The people demand unity, but each party has its interests and for this reason we have failed to run in the election in unity,” R. Hovannisian said in conclusion.
