Parliament intruder Galstian has two previous convictions

Vrezh Galstian, who made an attempt today to break into the Armenian parliament, has two previous convictions. Aysor.am learned that he was charged with hooliganism.

Around 1:00 pm on 13 September 2011, Vrezh Galstian and three other residents of Saralanj village deliberately violated public order and peace, using bad language and beating each other for ten minutes.

Vrezh Galstian was born on April 7, 1988, in Armenia’s city of Masis. He is an Armenian citizen, single, unemployed.

In September 2004, the court of first instance of Gayots Dzor province sentenced Galstian, who was charged under Article 112 of the Criminal Code, to 3-year imprisonment. Under Article 70 of the Criminal Code, Galstian got a suspended sentence and was put on one-year probation.

V. Galstian is registered in the city of Masis, but actually resides in the village of Saralanj, Vayots Dzor province.

He was also charged under Article 258 of the Criminal Code, but pleaded not guilty.

The court of general jurisdiction of Ararat and Vayots Dzor provinces found Galstian guilty of a crime under Article 258, Part 1, point 3, with a fine of 250,000 AMD was imposed on him.

According to a court decision in March 2012, his appeal was dismissed.
