Naira Zohrabian: BHK will not join declarative statement

Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) parliamentary faction has submitted a draft statement that is unacceptable to Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), the secretary of BHK faction Ms. Naira Zohrabian told Aysor.am.

She said that earlier BHK submitted a proposal containing two points: first, amendments to the Electoral Code and adoption of a 100% proportional electoral system, and secondly, implementation of constitutional reforms, but their proposal was rejected.

“HHK statement has very superficial wording – improvement of the Electoral Code, there are no concrete ideas in it so BHK cannot join such a declarative statement, a goodwill memorandum”, she noted.

As regards the plans to hold a special session of the National Assembly, Naira Zohrabian said BHK will participate in the session and voice its approach if the other factions agree to convene it.
