Observer NGOs in no hurry to obtain accreditation to CEC

50 observers of Law-Educated Society local NGO have been accredited today to Armenia’s Central Election Commission in order to carry out observation mission in the May 5 elections to Yerevan Council of Elders. 60 observers of Electoral Systems Center NGO obtained accreditation earlier.

CEC spokeswoman Ms. Hermine Harutyunian told Pastinfo news agency that no other applications for accreditation have so far been received from observer organizations.

The accreditation of observers for the elections to Yerevan Council of Elders began on February 21 and will end on April 25.
