Cause of fire in National Assembly revealed

An investigation conducted by the Anti-Fire and Technical Security Inspection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has revealed that around 7:40 pm on March 27, Ashot Ghazanchian, 59, a worker RA National Assembly, who looks after the building, went to the cellar to make sure everything is okay. He turned off the light, then dropped his cigarette butt on the floor of the cellar, locked the door and left.

The cigarette butt fell on a pile of paper on the floor and started to smolder, as a result of which smoke filled the room. No material damage was caused, the press service of Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
