Raffi Hovannisian intends to end hunger strike at Easter

The leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian held yet another rally in Liberty Square of Yerevan today. Addressing the rally participants, he cited a quote by Mahatma Gandhi: “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win”. Raffi Hovannisian said these words apply to Hello Revolution movement as well.

“I demand that Serzh Sargsyan should either refuse to accept his office or hold a new presidential election and share power with the people,” Hovannisian stated.

Heritage party leader said once again that it is not a struggle for power. In his words, the authorities have not so far accepted their proposals or given any meaningful replies.

“Their minions make some statements instead of keeping silent,” Raffi Hovannisian noted.

Addressing citizens, Hovannisian said he must wage this struggle together with the people by all means.

Raffi Hovannisian announced that he will end his hunger strike after the Liturgy at Easter, after which he will start preparing for April 9 actions.
