Hovannisian: I am grateful to Syunik governor for leaving me alive

“I am grateful to Synik governor for leaving me alive. He didn’t keep his promise: he didn’t come to the square,” Heritage Party leader Raffi Hovannisian, who was the runner-up in the February 18 presidential election but does not accept the election results, said today in the city of Kapan, Syunik province.

We would remind you that during the rally held in Liberty Square of Yerevan last Friday, Raffi Hovannisian “fixed an appointment” with the governor of Syunik province Suren Khachatrian.

In the words of R. Hovannisian, the governor failed to come, but instead he sent a few provokers to the main square of Kapan.

Prior to that, policemen announced over loudspeakers that the rally was unauthorized and its participants may be held administratively responsible.

Then Raffi Hovannisian headed towards Goris.
