“They force me to establish national unity at the expense of my life”

“By attending my rallies, people express their free will, rather than do me a favor,” ex-presidential candidate Raffo Hovannisian said today during a talk with reporters in the city of Goris in Syunik province, when explaining why few people were present at his rallies in Goris and Kapan.

In his words, this fact is conditioned by the atmosphere of fear: the authorities, regional governor and their satellites continue to keep people in fear. “But we will make it possible for Syunik to recover its rights”.

Speaking about his further steps, Hovannisian said that Serzh Sargsyan has 8 days to decide whether he is favor of national unity or not.

“I would not like to follow a parallel path after April 9, but the absence of moves by the incumbent president or the pretexts force me – I say it once again – to establish national unity at the expense of my life,” Hovannisian stressed.
