A1+ Television Company director: Hunger strike was not a rational step

“The inclusion of my name in the Heritage Party’s list of candidates to run in the Yerevan municipal elections came as a surprise to me,” Director of A1+ Television Company Mesrop Movsisian said at a meeting with reporters today. He called his new role “binding”.

“I was included in that list as a person. I would like you to consider me separately from A1+, as an Armenian citizen. If there is popular demand, I am ready to be on that list and defend the people’s right,” Movsisian stated.

Discussing the domestic political developments, the company director said he does not expect any developments in the near future, quite the opposite, he expects a decline. “Serzh Sargsyan’s team will go into a decline because this team
has had their dy. They should surrender their position, and it is quite another matter – to whom,” Movsisian noted, adding that Serzh Sargsyan also understands it.

As regards the hunger strike of Raffi Hovannisian, the director of A1+ said the hunger strike was not a rational step and did not produce any results.
