Public Council discusses causes of Armavia’s bankruptcy
The Air Transport Policy Sub-Commission of Armenia’s Public Council discussed today the current state of the Armavia airline and Armenia’s civil aviation problems, the press service of the Public Council reported.
The participants discussed the causes and consequences of Armavia’s bankruptcy. A number of proposals concerning the development of Armenian civil aviation were made.
The sub-commission chairman Dmitry Adbashian spoke about the gaps in the law on civil aviation.
He underlined the necessity to adopt an Air Code of the Republic of Armenia, develop a national program aimed at saving the country’s civil aviation, and establish public control over the program’s implementation.
D. Adbashian invited the attention of those present to the fact that no organization bears responsibility for the current situation relating to the national carrier Armavia.
Another, broader discussion on this subject will be held on April 11.
