If opposition parties not act jointly, HHK should not be blamed for victory
A great deal in the political life depends on the upcoming elections to Yerevan Council of Elders, Chairman of National Security Party Garnik Isagulian said during the meeting with reporters today.
According to him, the chairmen of 182 out of the 464 precincts in 13 electoral districts of Yerevan are representatives of the opposition.
“They should be able to set their ambitions aside and act jointly. In this case any talks about inflated voter lists will be ruled out,” Isagulian said.
According to him, while political forces are trying to solve their common problem, the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) is making every effort to achieve success in the upcoming elections to Yerevan Council of Elders on May 5.
“If the alternative, opposition parties fail to act jointly prior to the election, then nobody should blame HHK and be surprised by its victory in the May 5 election,” Isagulian said in conclusion.
