Armenia did not supply arms to Libya

“The February 16 report of the expert group, which was set up based on the UN Security Council Resolution 1973 regarding Libya, does not say that Armenia supplied arms to Libya and in general, the report does not contain any accusations against Armenia,” the Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman Tigran Balayan said, when responding to questions of Armenpress news agency.

“The text of the report is available at the website of the United Nations. The report mentions a number of private companies registered in various countries, including in NATO member countries, which had to do with military goods’ supply to Libya. The list also includes two companies registered in Armenia.

In response to the inquiry of the expert group, Armenia provided complete and exhaustive information about those companies and their activities,” T. Balayan said.
