Levon Zurabian: Opposition’s victory will solve many problems

The elections to Yerevan Council of Elders are a unique opportunity to change something in Armenia, while the opposition’s victory will solve a multitude of problems, the head of “Armenian National Congress” (HAK) parliamentray faction Levon Zurabian told reporters today.

In his words, if the opposition wins the May 5 elections, the authorities’ position will weaken and power will be given to the people.
“A system of checks and balances will be set up in the system of government and the people will use it. The political struggle will move to a civilized field and both the opposition and the authorities will speak by using concrete facts,” Zurabian stated.

According to him, HAK is ready to conduct an aggressive election campaign.
