U.S. ambassador: Prices of air tickets to Armenia are high

The prices of air tickets to Armenia are high, while services cannot be called excellent, the U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern said at the meeting with journalists today, when commenting on Armenia’s tourism.

According to him, in order to come to Armenia, a traveler has either to wait 15 hours in Vienna airport or spend two days in a plane. This is the reason why tourists do not make trips to Armenia.

The ambassador stressed the need for positive changes in the country’s civil aviation, which will lead to an increase of the number of tourists.
