Communist party leader does not support Raffi Hovannisian

“Nothing will change if Raffi Hovannisian comes to power. He will bring the same liberal ideas that exist today. The “chair” will only change,” the leader of the Communist Party of Armenia Ruben Tovmasian told reporters today.

In his words, he will never join the movement led by Hovannisian because he does not see any prospects. “The people who rallied round Raffi Hovannisian are discontented with their social conditions, corruption, low wages, poverty, and emigration,” Tovmasian noted.

According to him, fair elections have not been held in Armenia in the past 22 years. He added he does not have high expectations for the upcoming Yerevan municipal elections.

“The promises of all candidates are sweet lies,” Ruben Tovmasian said.
