Sukias Avetisian: Hello Yerevan cannot receive many votes

“It was during the presidential election that Hello Armenia movement received the greatest number of votes”, the deputy of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) faction Sukias Avetisian said at the meeting with reporters today, when discussing the chances of Hello Yerevan bloc of parties in the upcoming elections to Yerevan Council of Elders.

The deputy expressed an opinion that Hello Yerevan bloc of parties cannot collect many votes today. He added that members of Hello Yerevan bloc should use as a criterion the last elections to the National Assembly, rather than the recent presidential election.

When asked if he considers Taron Margarain as the best mayor of Yerevan in the past 20 years, Sukias Avetisian replied that each of Yerevan mayors tried to solve the city problems in his own way.

“Some mayors managed to deal with urgent problems of Yerevan, while others had no time to solve problems because of a short term of office,” S. Avetisian added.

In his words, HHK members and most residents of the city are satisfied with work of Taron Margarian.
