Hrayr Tovmasian: I can’t get meaning of “sticking to thieves’ traditions”

“Armenia is a mono-ethnic country and each murder horrifies me because an Armenian kills another Armenian,” Acting Minister of Justice Hrayr Tovmasian said at a briefing today, when discussing the April 23 murder in the city of Gyumri.

He noted that there is nothing more valuable than human life.

At the request of reporters, Hrayr Tovmasian commented on the statement that Armenian Police Chief Vladimir Gasparian made in connection with the Gyumri incident. Gasparian said: “Gyumri residents who often speak about honor and self-esteem should stick less to the so-called thieves’ mentality”.

“I can’t get the meaning of sticking to thieves’ traditions,” Hrayr Tovmasian noted.
