Sefilian: I didn’t expect failure on April 9

The time of leaders is over - it is leading groups’ time now because the responsibility of a struggle should not be put only on the leader. Member of Sardarapat movement, freedom fighter Zhirayr Sefilian expressed that opinion at the meeting with journalists today.

He announced that Pre-parliament group will hold rallies in Gyumri on May 9 and in Yerevan on May 17.

Sefilian said they have repeatedly called upon the opposition forces to look for an alternative form of struggle.

“We failed to convince Raffi Hovannisian to accept our proposal. For this reason we are beginning to struggle in the way acceptable to us. After April 9 events, it became clear that the people are frustrated. I didn’t expect everything to be a failure on April 9,” Zhirayr Sefilian noted, adding that Pre-parliament is going to inform people about its programs during rallies.

“After each rally, people will know what steps they should take,” Sefilian said.
