Heritage demands removal of Armenian-Turkish protocols from agenda

At the sitting of the National Assembly today, deputy of Heritage parliamentary faction Ms. Zaruhi Postanjian called on the parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamian to remove the Armenian-Turkish protocols from the parliament’s agenda.

“The Armenian-Turkish Protocols should be removed from the agenda,” Z. Postanjian said.

Hovik Abrahamian replied that the issue is outside the parliamentary speaker’s competence.

“If the protocols were ratified by the parliaments of the two countries, they would create more opportunities for economic development. This issue has nothing to do with the problem of the Armenian Genocide and other political processes,” H. Abrahamian said.
