Gularian: Spring frosts did not cause much damage in Tavush province
The spring light frosts did not cause much damage in Tavush province, Governor of Tavush Armen Gularian told the correspondent of Aysor.am. According to him, grape vineyards were mostly affected – about 10-15% of vineyards.
“There were frosts in the villages of Aygehovit, Vazashen, Paravakar, and some high-altitude areas. Orchard and truck crops were also damaged a bit,” the governor said.
In his words, apple, plum and pear trees have already bloomed in their province. “The main thing is that peach trees in Noyemberian region have not been affected,” he noted.
The irrigation season has started in Tavush. “Several communities currently have problems with irrigation water, but we are already trying to solve these problems,” Armen Gularian said.
