Raffi Hovannisian and U.S. ambassador discuss upcoming elections

The leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian met today with the U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern, the press service of R. Hovannisian’s headquarters said.

The sides discussed issues of mutual interest concerning Armenia’s internal and foreign policies.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the upcoming elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders due on May 5. They stressed the importance of holding the elections within legal boundaries and in line with international democratic standards.

We would remind you that yesterday the U.S. ambassador also met with the leader of Armenian National Congress (HAK) Party Levon Ter-Petrosian.
