R. Hakobian: Situation can be changed through cooperation

The elections to Yerevan Council of Elders are of exceptional political significance as they may help break up the monopoly of the authorities, the head of “Heritage” parliamentary faction Ruben Hakobian told reporters during a briefing today.

He declined to make forecasts about the percentage of votes their party will receive in the May 5 elections, noting that the developments in the political field are unpredictable.

In the words of R. Hakobian, there is an agreement with non-pro-government forces about cooperation in election commissions. “If they want to change the situation in the country, they must cooperate,” Hakobian said.
