T. Margarian and E. Sharmazanov meet with European observers

The incumbent Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margarian, who tops of the list of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) in the elections to Yerevan Council of Elders, and the head of the central campaign headquarters of HHK Edward Sharmazanov met with the delegation of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe led by Rapporteur Stewart Dickson (United Kingdom, ILDG), according to the HHK headquarters.

Issues related to the May 5 elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders were discussed at the meeting. The sides underlined the importance of holding free, transparent and competitive elections and making progress in the democratic processes.

Thanking the delegation members for carrying out the observation mission, the representatives of HHK expressed their opinions about the pre-election process and election campaigns. They stressed that HHK pursues the goal of ensuring the conduct of fair elections in line with the requirements of law.
