Composition of Armenia’s new government to be announced today

Sittings of the Executive Body and the Board of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) will take place this evening at the head office of the party, Aysor.am was informed by HHK spokesman, vice speaker of the Armenian parliament Edward Sharmazanov. He said that the composition of the new government will be announced at the sittings.

Sittings of the HHK Executive Body and Board are usually held every Thursday, but a decision was made to hold the sittings today because May 9 is the deadline for the new government’s formation.

In accordance with the law, the government resigned following the Armenian president’s inauguration on April 9.

The prime minister, the minister of defense, and the foreign minister have been re-appointed according to presidential decrees.
