K. Sukiasian believes there is no similarity between him and Tsarukian

“After Levon Ter-Petrosian’s resignation, I was told I might continue to work,” the businessman, former parliamentary deputy Khachatur Sukiasian told RFE/RL today.

In his words, he stayed at Ter-Petrosian’s side because “a counterbalance was necessary”.

“There have been losses, difficulties and privations, but I have gained wide experience,” Sukiasian confessed.

In his words, today there are parties which are more concerned about their own interests than the interests of the country.

As for the first President Levon Ter-Petrosian’s statement that Gagik Tsarukian and Khachatur Sukiasian are alike, the businessman said there is no similarity between them.

“I respect the opinion of the first president, but I had no discussion with Mr. Tsarukian, therefore I cannot comment on it,” K. Sukiasian said.
