L. Sargsyan: HAK lost because of nonparticipation in presidential election

“There are no elections as such. There is money that brings power. In reality, the elections of money took place,” deputy of “Armenian National Congress” (HAK) parliamentary faction Ms. Lyudmila Sargsyan said at a meeting with journalists today, when commenting on the outcome of the May 5 elections to Yerevan Council of Elders.

In her opinion, HAK has lost the Yerevan municipal elections because it earlier decided not to run in the presidential election.

“To some extent, the defeat in these elections resulted from our nonparticipation in the presidential election, the scale of emigration, and the money factor,” L. Sargsyan said.
