PSRC to examine gas tariff review application within 90 days

By the law, Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia shall discuss the application of ArmRosGazprom CJSC and Transgaz OJSC within 90 days, the commission’s spokeswoman Mariam Stepanian told Henaran.am.

“It does not mean that the commission will examine the issue for 90 days. Serious economic research should be done and public discussions organized,” she noted.

In response to the remark that as a rule, such applications are satisfied, M. Stepanian said she cannot recall which application was satisfied and which was not.

“It’s not easy for us to satisfy such bids. We are also concerned about our residents,” she noted.

We would remind you that ArmRosGazprom CJSC and Transgaz OJSC have submitted a proposal to Public Services Regulatory Commission to review the current tariff of natural gas sold by ArmRosGazprom to subscribers using up to 10,000 cubic meters monthly and the formula for calculating the monthly tariff of users of over 10,000 cubic meters.
