Financing of young scientists’ assistance program to double

Financing of the program on assistance of young scientists will double and reach 200 million AMD, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said at the meeting with young scientists today.

The program’s governing body informed S. Sargsyan about the sum spent last year on the program’s implementation. Following the meeting, the secretary of the governing body Karlen Khachatrian said:

“With the indicated sum, we tried to do work in four directions: organize international academic trips of young scientists, hold scientific conferences, and provide grants and awards to them”.

In his words, this year the program will expand, encompassing new directions.
