Alexander Iskandarian: Opposition passes through a crisis
Following the elections to Yerevan Council of Elders, politics will move from the streets to the parliament and the press. Director of Caucasus Institute, political scientist Alexander Iskandarian expressed such an opinion at a meeting with journalists today.
In his words, crystallization of the political arena will occur in the next four years.
He stressed that it is going to be an important period for both the opposition and authorities. “Chaos seems to reign supreme in the opposition camp. The opposition is passing through a crisis because it followed the wrong policy,” Iskandarian noted.
In his opinion, the opposition should develop a new work style in the next four years as the old work style was concentrated on elections only.
